Website Update: Revelation Online Area

Hey guys.

I want to inform you, that I finally worked on the Revelation Online area for this website. Just click in the main menu on the left side on “Revelation Online” to look at it. I appreciate every feedback and suggestions. 🙂 For now it offers you an overview of the content this site offers, links to gameguides and official information.

Besides that I want to add more content very soon and I plan to finish a lot of (old) requests before OBT starts (tho I can’t promise how much it’ll be, because I don’t know when OBT will start D:), so stay tuned for more updates very soon!

Oh and before I forget it: As many of you suggested, I’ve also added a background to the website now! (If you can’t see it, then you probably have to empty your browser cache)

Now let’s come to the actual contest. I hope you understand, that it’s unavoidable, that my personal taste affects the judgement, though I tried to be open for any character “style”. Otherwise I judged after different criteria and decided to add a few words to every winner, so you are able to understand better. 🙂

(Please note: I took my own screenshots of the characters I had the file of.)

Main criteria:
– Overall aesthetic of the character
– Face expression (compared to the reference)
– Face proportions
– Body proportions

Sad is, that some characters had very good looking faces imo, but unfortunately the bodies were either completely off or there was no bodyshot/file, so I couldn’t let those win. I’m sorry for those participants, but hope you understand.

The following order doesn’t represent any ranking!

1st winner: Sunako

I think this is the closest attempt I saw in terms of the face proportions. Good job!

2nd winner: Karolina

This character might not have the proper face proportions of Serah, but it represents her expression very well. The eyes are so pretty!

3rd winner: Christina

Except of the eyes all the proportions are close, especially the body. The expression is also very similar to Serah. Love the lips!

4th winner: Chimander

He’s lacking his sexappeal imo, but I guess that’s just my taste. xD I like the color effect in the hair, the white with the blonde shimmer, points for creativity. :p Overall the upper part of the face is very close.

5th winner: Anamixus

The best Snow I saw in the contest. Proportions are very close and I like the choice of the hairstyle.

As a few of you might remember I planned to start an event in CBT2, but unfortunately I couldn’t afford prizes and didn’t have much time, because of christmas etc.. So I want to take this chance now and offer you the opportunity to win one of these Deluxe Packs in my Character Creation Contest!

Our reference for the character creation contest will be… a couple of Final Fantasy XIII. However you can choose to create one of the characters for your entry or do both, but only one of your characters can win.

6. Editing Screenshots is forbidden. Information to my current inactivity [Temporary absence]

Hello everyone!

First of all: Happy new year! I hope you all had a good start in the new year and enjoyed CBT2!

Unfortunately I didn’t have time to play in CBT2 (well, except of 2 days!?), due to a lot of holiday and bureaucracy stuff going on. I expected to be semi-available during this time, so I didn’t write something specifically here, but things never turn out the way you expect. ^^’

After recovering from my new years party, I’m preparing everything now to move to my new apartment on Friday, so I’m still busy. 🙁 And another unexpected thing was, that I can’t take the internet provider I planned to take, so I will have to wait for proper internet for an indefinite period of time. I expect it to be ~2 weeks at the moment, but it could also be later or sooner. So cross your fingers for me! (How can I live with only mobile internet for weeks? Help! qq)

Believe me, I hate it so much, that I can’t be active at the moment, but hopefully it won’t be long anymore.

Important update regarding requests

Hello everyone!

First of all thank you for all your requests. I wish I would have more time to do every single one of them, but lately I had to realise, that I can’t keep up with it anymore.

That’s the reason why I decided to NOT accept every request anymore. This means, when you request a character, there will be no guarantee, that I will make this character, but I will still try to do as much as my time allows.
For donators I will make an exception of course to thank you for your generosity.
I hope you can understand, that I have to change this, because my time is limited and I can’t keep up with the big demand.
